Optimal Deployment of Solar Insecticidal Lamps Over Constrained Locations in Mixed-Crop Farmlands

Solar insecticidal lamps (SILs) play a vital role in green prevention and control of pests. By embedding SILs wireless sensor networks (WSNs), we establish novel agricultural Internet Things (IoT), referred to as the SIL-IoTs. In practice, deployment SIL nodes is determined by geographical characteristics an actual farmland, constraints on locations nodes, radio-wave propagation complex environment. this article, mainly focus constrained problem (cSILDP) mixed-crop where used deploy are limited set candidates located ridges. We formulate cSILDP Scenario connected cover (CSC) propose hole-aware node method (HANDM) based greedy algorithm solve optimization problem. The HANDM two-phase method. first phase, strategy utilized guarantee only single coverage hole each iteration, which suboptimal found for nodes. second according operations deletion fusion, optimal obtained meet requirements complete connectivity. Experimental results show that our proposed achieves better performance than peer algorithms, specifically terms cost.
